At Hunt Fitness we recognize that without a targeted fitness training program athletes cannot reach their true potential. An athlete who improves his or her level of physical fitness will reap the benefits of improved strength and stamina, faster reaction time, more intense mental focus, and improved coordination and control.

An athlete can have the benefits of the best equipment, perfect technique and unwavering determination, but if he or she is not performing at his or her potential fitness level he or she will likely finish towards the back of the pack. At Hunt Fitness we can provide athletes with the tools they need to be the fittest competitor they can be.

The Hunt Fitness team has trained race car drivers, motocross and snowcross riders, hockey, volleyball & basketball players, alpine and cross-country skiers, triathletes, rowers and cyclists. Athletes will benefit from their use of the Hunt Fitness state of the art training facility.

Athletes will learn to safely and effectively use cardio equipment, free-weights and agility tools as well as receive supervised training with Olympic weight lifting and plyometric training.

Plus Hunt Fitness employs two Registered Athletic Therapists – trained not only in emergency first aid but also in physical therapy to rehabilitate injuries from sprains and strains to concussions.

Hunt fitness also employs a Doctor of Chiropractic – who can assess alignment and posture and design custom foot beds to be fitted into ice skates, ski boots and running shoes.

The Hunt Fitness team has experience with players of all ages, all positions and all levels of play.

Our approach is structured to continually build fitness and skills throughout the off-season to peak for tryouts and training camps.

Our Team

Mark “Sarge” Cairncross BSc, PTS

markSarge has earned his nickname with his disciplined, no excuses approach to training. He played 15 years of hockey before turning his focus to on and off-ice conditioning, Sarge currently trains the 2-time All Ontario Champion Penetang Kings.

Ed Hunt HBOR, PTS

edballAs the owner of Hunt Fitness and Rehabilitation, Ed has conditioned amateur and professional athletes in a variety of sports including Hockey, Rugby, Alpine Skiing, Motorsports and Endurance events.
